Trip
When you go fishing in Playa del Carmen you will be going out with the local fisherman. These fisherman have been in Playa del Carmen since the time it was a fisherman's village and not the multi-cultural tourist town it is today. The price for fishing is $200 for 4 hours includes 2 down riggers, fish finder, bottom fishing, and four fishing rods. Drinks are supplied on the boat, maximum 4 people. The captain assures me that you will catch something. He will also cut the fish and there are a few restaurants in Playa that will charge you 50 pesos ( $6usd) or so to cook them any way you want. During your fishing trip you are welcome to take a break from fishing and do some snorkeling. There is no extra charge for snorkeling, just bring your own snorkeling gear. The cost for 6 hours is $260 and a full day from 7 am to 3 pm is $400. If you decide you want to do 2 days of 4 hours fishing, the first day will be $200 the second day you will receive 10% off the price and pay $180.
